The best football gift for a Messi fan starts with a memory: an Argentina shirt they associate with watching international football, the FC Barcelona shirt they grew up loving, or a season they still talk about. Choose that connection first, then check the product type, measurements and delivery window.
This guide helps you compare jersey gift ideas for birthdays, Christmas and other occasions without guessing what a football fan wants. Eternal Jersey sells independent fan-made tribute jerseys with printed signatures—not hand-signed autographs or official licensed merchandise.

Quick answer: which Messi gift should you choose?
- For an Argentina fan: start with a blue-and-white international-inspired design.
- For a Barcelona fan: compare Barcelona-inspired tribute jerseys and the season they remember most.
- For a long-time supporter: an early-career or specific-season jersey may feel more personal than a general No.10 design.
- For a collector who expects an original autograph: a printed-signature tribute is not a substitute for authenticated hand-signed memorabilia.
1. Messi Argentina jersey gifts: 2021 and 2014
If the recipient talks mainly about international football, begin with Argentina colours. Blue and white creates an immediately recognisable connection, while an alternative navy design offers a different look for someone who already owns the familiar colours.
Our Messi Argentina 2021 Copa America-inspired tribute jersey is one option for an international-football gift. The Messi Argentina 2014 away-inspired tribute jersey gives you another colour direction. Both are printed-signature tributes: choose by the recipient's preference, not by assuming one is a match-worn or player-issued shirt.
Useful question: “Would you choose a Messi Argentina jersey or a Messi Barcelona jersey?” A casual conversation can tell you more than guessing from their favourite player alone.
2. Messi Barcelona jersey gifts: the 2015 treble and checkered designs
Some fans connect Messi most strongly with FC Barcelona matches they watched every week. If their favourite memories are from Barcelona, choose a design linked to that period rather than automatically picking an international shirt.
The Messi Barcelona 2015 treble-inspired tribute jersey is a specific-season choice. For a different visual style, compare the Messi Barcelona checkered tribute jersey. Look closely at the listing photographs, number, colour layout and year before deciding.
A gift does not need to be the newest design to be meaningful. The shirt associated with a childhood bedroom poster, a first match or weekends watching with family can be the more thoughtful choice.
3. Messi Barcelona 2006 and 2012 jersey gift ideas
For a supporter who already has several shirts, a less obvious era can make the selection feel considered. Our collection includes a Messi Barcelona 2006 No.19 early-career tribute jersey and a Messi Barcelona 2012 No.10 tribute jersey. These are different starting points for someone interested in his career beyond a single international tournament.
Before choosing, check what they already own. Repeating the same colour and season may be less useful than filling a gap. If you cannot ask directly, look for clues in the shirts they wear, photographs they share or football stories they repeat.
4. Understand signed jerseys versus printed signatures
Many buyers begin with searches such as “signed Messi jersey” or “Messi football gift.” Those searches can lead to very different products. A hand-signed jersey carries an autograph physically signed by the player; a printed-signature jersey reproduces a signature on the fabric.
The signatures on Eternal Jersey products are printed, not hand-signed. The Certificate of Tribute card explains the tribute presentation; it is not a certificate authenticating a player autograph. These products are not match-worn, player-issued or official licensed memorabilia.
If your recipient collects authenticated autographs, do not buy a printed-signature jersey on the assumption that it is equivalent. If they want a football-inspired keepsake connected with a favourite era, a clearly described tribute may suit the purpose. Read our printed signature guide before ordering.
5. What is included with an Eternal Jersey gift?
- The selected tribute jersey with a printed signature.
- A Certificate of Tribute card.
- A black gift box.
The box and card provide a coordinated way to present the jersey. A display frame is not included. For a closer look at the presentation, visit Gift Box & Certificate and check the photographs on the product you choose.
6. Choose the size using measurements
Do not rely only on the S, M or L label of another brand. Lay a shirt the recipient already likes flat and compare its chest width and length with our size guide. Follow the measurement method shown there so you compare like with like.
Think about whether the gift will be worn or displayed. For wearing, their preferred fit matters. For a future framed display, the shirt and frame dimensions need to work together. Read the returns policy before ordering rather than assuming a size exchange is automatic.
7. Plan ahead for birthdays and Christmas
Allow an estimated 13–23 business days in total: 3–5 business days for processing, followed by approximately 10–18 business days for tracked delivery. Business days are not calendar days, and customs or carrier delays may extend the estimate. This is not a guaranteed arrival date.
Free tracked shipping is available to our supported countries, not every destination worldwide. Check the shipping policy before ordering. If the occasion is close, contact us before checkout; do not assume a deadline can be met.

Frequently asked questions
What is a thoughtful gift for a Messi fan?
A jersey connected to their favourite era is one option. Start with whether they prefer Argentina jerseys, Barcelona jerseys or an early-career design, then choose according to their size and interest in wearing or displaying it.
Are these Messi jerseys hand-signed?
No. Eternal Jersey jerseys have printed signatures. The Tribute card is not autograph authentication, and the products are independent fan-made tributes.
Can I buy a Messi jersey as a Christmas gift?
Yes, but order with the estimated 13–23 business-day total wait in mind and leave room for delays. Check destination availability and the shipping policy; delivery by a particular date is not guaranteed.
